7 Great Reads For Valentine’s Day
Looking for some Valentine’s Day reads? Look no further! I’ve been on an insane Romance binge the past two months for no good reason, so there are a bunch of novels to suggest. There should be something for everyone.
Table of Contents
1. Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood
This novel is something I never thought I’d recommend, or like this much. I finished the audiobook a few days after borrowing it from Libby and wow. Don’t let the cover fool you because it’s kind of a little dirty near the end. I don’t want to say too much because a review of this is coming soon, but it is worth a look.
2. The Bridgertons Series by Julia Quinn
This shouldn’t be a surprise because I really enjoy historical romance, but the Bridgertons series is one I would recommend reading or watching for Valentine’s Day. If you’re reading it, start with the first book in the series; The Duke and I. And of course, if you’re opting to watch this, start with Episode 1 on Netflix or etc. I recommend binge-watching it for maximum enjoyment.
3. The Highland Fling by Meghan Quinn
I finished this novel last week and it’s really good! I literally flew through the entire book so it’s going into my re-reading pile. However, the characters are really cute and while I didn’t immediately relate to the main character very early on, it hit full force later because I’ve been through something similar.
4. The Argneau Series by Lynsay Sands
This series of immortals (vampires) is really dear to me and at one point I nearly went through the entire series but slowed down. There are over 30 novels in this series, but I think about 10 that are based around the characters in the main Argeneau family branch. There’s really a plotline for everyone, and while I always recommend reading the first novel to start things off, this series does make it easy for anyone to follow along wherever in the series you happen to start. I started at book 25 or something, then went and started at book 1.
5. A League of Rogues Series by Lauren Smith
Another series that is dear to me, and it’s a historical romance series too! I finished most of the books (those that are directly tied to the original league members) and am going through a bit of a book hangover, but it’s got a really intricate plotline that gets even better the more you read. Stakes kind of get higher with every book, and you won’t regret reading this series.
6. Vested Interest Series by Melanie Moreland
I’m almost done with this series but will be re-reading the books again during the summer, I loved the books honestly and if you’re a fan of Billionaire romance, this is great for you. They’re a tight-knit group that has their dynamic changed with the addition of their new love interests.
7. Mr. Malcom’s List by Suzanne Allain
This is a relatively new book to my TBR (to be read) list, and I know it’s going to be made into a movie soon (or it’s premiering soon). I haven’t found time to sit down and read this but I love those novels where the person that’s super picky about their spouse, meets and falls for someone they would never have considered. It makes for something really entertaining, frustrating and genuine to read.
And those are my recommendations for Valentine’s Day reads! There are a lot more that could be recommended but I don’t want to overwhelm everyone/anyone, so I’ll be keeping the list short at 7 titles/suggestions. Have a great Valentine’s Day!
