Great Winter Reads To Cozy Up To
We’re at the beginning of Winter, and while the weather is bouncing between warm and freezing, it’s the perfect time to cozy up to a book with your favourite drink. Whether it be a mocha or maybe the spiked hot chocolate, I’m certain there will be a novel that will go well with your preferred beverage. On to the list!

I’ll admit, I’m actually a bit behind on what’s popular nowadays but I’m trying to keep up! So some of you might find that these recommendations are a little outdated. But they still make for a good read!

The Love Hypothesis
Romance, Romantic Comedy, Contemporary Romance
This novel I finished a few weeks ago and it still remains with me right now, it’s so good honestly. It’s this kind of sweet and slow-burn romance that’s a long time coming. There were some parts where it made me want to bash my head in, but most of the time I had to contain my giddiness from the cuteness overload.
I will admit, that there was a bit more. . . spice than I thought there would be, something about the cover made it seem so. But I wouldn’t pass on this one!
If you don’t have a drink in mind, I’d cozy up to this book with hot chocolate or spiced hot chocolate.
The Duke and I
Historical Romance, Regency Romance
Ah, the Bridgertons. I’m honestly enjoying the series, I’m on one of the later books now and I plan to eventually watch the Netflix series. The first book was good, not the best honestly but I feel that the characters were well written and the plot and side plots are interesting.
But overall, as a series, I would highly recommend reading about the lives of the Bridgertons. For this read, I’d pair it with a cup of Earl Grey, London Fog or some Cider.

No Offence
Romance, Contemporary Romance
This is newly added to my shelf this year, and I fell in love with the synopsis while book shopping online. This is a type of second-chance romance with two characters that don’t seem to suit each other well but end up being great for one another.
It’s also got a bit of mystery added to it with that abandoned baby. Features a librarian and a sheriff.
For this read, I’m thinking along the lines of Mulled Wine, Spiced Coffee or Bourbon Cider.
The Lieutenant’s Bargain
Romance, Historical Romance
Also a second-chance romance between the two characters, with a healthy dose of miscommunication across the board. This is kind of that novel where everything that could possibly go wrong, goes wrong.
I have this on my TBR pile and can’t wait to read this, but the ending for these books can go in two different directions.

Nightfall
YA, Thriller, Fantasy
I bought this novel back in High School and it’s got a very mysterious feel to it. They don’t really reveal much in the synopsis and so I feel it could go in different directions; full-on monsters/supernatural, fantasy or adventure fantasy.
If this interests you, then I’d recommend giving this a try.
Our Violent Ends
YA, Fantasy, Romance
The highly anticipated sequel to These Violent Delights, the first book was really good and I suspect that the second book will be the same. The danger to Shanghai isn’t over, and neither is the romance between Roma and Juliette.

Have you read any of these novels? Think you’ll want to get them?
